I Don't understand the relevence of what I have posted !

Its almost 2 a.m and I am wondering whats keeping me awake so late. Is it that am now habitual of not sleeping before 2 a.m on any given day or is it that constantly there's something that is making me ponder. Actually, both. There have been zillions of things going on my mind but nothing to declare as a thought provoking action/idea. I have been lately worried about a lot many things. To start with.....Whether i would be ever able to transform all my thoughts, ideas, wishes and of-course fantasies into Actions ? To be honest, straight down my heart i get this feeling that i have always been a blessed, lucky girl. I would be able to do whatever i plan to. But then suddenly the question pops up. How ? When?

There have been so many instances where I really wanted to do something. Be it anything. From wanting to change the way the government works to the way a beggar begs....from the way people fight on the roads to the way people showoff.....from the way society behaves superstitiously to the way the thugs and dhongis make fool out people...from the way people without giving a thought cut down 100's of trees in a go to the way people plant tiny little plants and forget to water them. CHANGE is the word. The government, starting from the way the judiciary works, the way the legislations are drafted and then executed after months or even years to the way a poor begs for money! All require a Reform. An alteration. A change that changes the outlook of people, particularly the citizens of our country. By now, you must be wondering how and basically why should there be a change a beggar begs. The poverty in our country is in such a bad condition that unlike pre independence, a beggar doesn't anymore begs for himself alone.. they are made to beg.

The question is Why? Why has the government not provided life support to them? Why has it let a begging industry flourish? Why hasn't there been proper, reformed regulations for such a thing. I understand that no doubt its easy to point out fingers and raise numerous questions and voice on the government in power. But then thats where our (the youth !) role starts. We definitely have to raise our voices to waken our lazy sleeping government. Don't you think so ?

  1. I believe in the same philosophy as u do - even at my age. But in India governance has been such an utter failure that the common man has been made to eke out - fight for - his livelihood and so engrossed is he that he has no time for anything else. This was the inherrent philosphy of the Britishers and in the over 3 centuries that they ruled us they changed the meaning of living for all future generations. The Congress - a protege of the British govt - continued the pattern : The rulers shall think only for themselves, of themselves and by themselves ! Nobody else has the right to think. What they think is the only thing to think and is the only right thing - evrything else is wrong.
No other political party has managed to be in power for a substantial span of time to bring about changes. In the short time they managed to rule, they only invoked their own Agenda - another folly and short sighted vision.
If only the youth of this generation spurns the present day attitudes and starts thinking of "Nation First" ! Then can a change happen. But the Congress in its present format will never allow it. A Lal Bahadur Shastri will not be allowed to rise. Anna Hazare s will not be able to stand up against the might of govt machinery
The youth needs to stand up against bad governance, against corrupt politicians and adminstrators, against deprivation of bsic rights.
Go ahead, live for your country, stand up for yr nation. Contribute whatever little u can to make the difference - if one negative can be used to develop numerous positive photgraphs, why can't a negative thought or action be used to evolve positive thoughts or actions !! Ponder, peruse and propagate
